Stuff those stockings with more stockings

Are you in need of ideas for stocking stuffers? If you have someone on your shopping list who likes to venture outside, I’ve got some ideas to help you out this Christmas season.

My best advice for you, if you’re looking for stocking stuffers this year, is to stuff that stocking with some more stockings. Specifically, Darn Tough socks. These things are incredible. I have gotten rid of most other socks I’ve had over the years, and now my sock drawer is full of almost exclusively Darn Tough socks. They’re about three times more expensive than normal cotton socks, but they’re worth it.

First of all, they’re made with Merino wool. That means they keep your feet warm, even when they get wet. But on top of that, they’re guaranteed for life. It seems like a silly business plan to guarantee a pair of socks forever, because they’re socks. Socks wear out. Well, most socks wear out. Darn Tough socks do not.

I’ve had several pairs of Darn Tough socks for more than five years. I have had a couple pairs get holes, and one pair lost its elasticity. In all those cases, I sent the socks back to Darn Tough, and they sent me new pairs, no questions asked.

Fifteen or sixteen bucks for a pair of socks is a heavy order, but when they last five times longer than socks a third their price, it’s a bargain.

While you’re buying those socks for your stocking recipient, throw in some Gear Ties, too. These things are like 21st Century twist-ties. They’re wire covered in rubber, and you can use them to tie up hoses, extension cords, rig up a lantern, hold your bumper on your truck – just about anything. And like the socks, I have yet to wear out any of my Gear Ties. I swear they’re made of magic.

Darn Tough socks and Gear Ties – if that’s all I got in my stocking this year, I’d be perfectly happy.
