Flood Waters Continue To Rise On State Rivers And Streams

Flooding warnings have been posted for sections of the Laramie and North Platte rivers in southeast Wyoming.

The North Platte River at Saratoga and new Sinclair in Carbon County was rising and expected to hit flood stage.

State National Guard troops have been filling sandbags in Saratoga to help local residents prepare for potential flooding.

In Albany County, minor flooding continues to occur along the Laramie River in the Laramie area where it is about a half of a foot above flood stage.

In Goshen County, the Laramie River is just over a foot above flood stage, causing some minor flooding around Fort Laramie.

The snowpack is highest in the southeast and central parts of Wyoming. Statewide the snowpack is 139 percent of median.
